Who can checkout an Exploration Pack?
Lyons Public Library cardholders, 16+ years old in good standing, may check out an Exploration Pack from the library.
How many Exploration Packs can I check out and for how long?
Patrons may check out only one Exploration Pack per loan period. The loan period for packs is one week, with the exception of the Sports Pack which can be checked out for 24 hours. Only one pack per household may be checked out at a time. There is a 24-hour waiting period after returning a pack before it can be checked out by any member of the same family.
Can I put an Exploration Pack on hold?
Yes, Exploration Packs can be placed on hold. Contact the library to place a hold. Packs cannot be requested through Interlibrary Loan. Packs may not be renewed due to the high demand. Patrons have 3 business days to pick-up a pack once they have been notified by phone call/message (pick-up within one business day for the Sports Pack). If the 3 days pass without pick up, the pack moves on to the next person on the hold list. Requested patron holds will be added to the end of the hold queue.
What are the overdues and/or replacement costs?
The overdue fine for an Exploration Pack is $5 per day. Exploration Pack replacement costs vary per pack.
